Brothers of the Eighth District,
Giving all honor and glory to God who is the head of my life, I would like to take this time to humbly introduce myself as a servant of the Lord and your Eighth District Chaplain. My name is Brother Carl Lemons, initiated in the spring of 1998 at Epsilon Psi Chapter, Wichita State University. I currently reside in Wichita, Kansas where I am an active and financial member of Gamma Upsilon Chapter. I attend St Mark United Methodist Church and am employed with the Wichita Police Department. As District Chaplain I will be available to listen, pray and provide an encouraging word for you in your daily walk of life. Our world today is a challenge for all Christians and we are always in need of the word. I am not an ordained minister by any account but I do try to live in a manner of emulation, walking uprightly and circumspectly, accountable for my actions and deeds. At times I too need encouragement to fight the good fight and will be in need of your prayers of support.
I will be in communication with all the Chapter Chaplains to go over my goals and vision for the Chaplaincy for the 2014-2015 fraternal year within the next few weeks. I look forward with anticipation for the opportunity to serve as your District Chaplain supporting your needs on an individual and chapter level. May we continue to grow as men and brothers to be beacons of hope and support in our communities and true Christian role models for our youth. The men of the Eighth District, our leadership and the leaders of our nation will be included in my daily prayers for morale strength and spirited-filled leadership as we face the challenges of today’s world.
Feel free to contact me on any concerns you may have that I can provide assistance for you. Until we meet again, may God grant a blessing in your lives and my challenge to you is to hold true to the faith that has been the bedrock of our people for generations.
Fraternally and may God keep you,
Brother Carl Lemons
